Once Álvaro Elizalde was appointed as the new minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency (Segpres) to replace the recently resigned Ana Lya Uriarte, a race began within the Socialist Party to define who would replace the now former parliamentarian in the Senate. . And among the names that are gaining strength the most is that of the president of the community, Paulina Vodanovic, who has already expressed her willingness to swear in the Upper House to replace Elizalde.

"I and all the socialist militants are available to assume the tasks that the party requires of us. Ana Lya Uriarte was, Álvaro Elizalde is and I will also be available if necessary," Vodanovic said at a press point. However, he clarified that the store has its own protocols to resolve these doubts and that starting tomorrow, Thursday, they will discuss this issue, since today marks the 90th anniversary of the PS.
