All gamers are sure Control 2 is in development somewhere. Today, Remedy Studio ends the controversy and confusion with the presence of a new part of its game in 2019, in cooperation with the 505 Games studio.

Control 2

With both developers revealing Control 2, we learned that this project was codenamed Heron and the game is slated to be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S. The game will be built on Remedy's Northlight engine.

Developer Remedy will publish the game on the PC platform while 505 Games will publish it on the respective home platforms. The project is currently in the development stage.

The developer, Remedy, previously, specifically in June last year, announced his cooperation with 505 Games, which is attached to strict terms, or let's say at a professional and high level, because it is a game with a larger budget than the previous part. The studio's CEO said it was proud to officially announce the sequel to its ambitious title, previously known by its codename Heron.

I'm now proud to confirm that our biggest budget Control game, also known by its codename Heron, is Control 2, a full sequel to the award-winning 2019 game Control.

Director Mikael Kasurinen expressed his gratitude for this game. The game catapulted his team into a completely new and unknown world for them in all aspects, but at the same time they wanted to bring something new and completely different from the usual from the studio. Kasurinen also thanked all the players who supported the game and contributed to its success.

Kasurinen added that with the new part, he will make another leap “into the unknown.” The journey of the second part, according to his words, is beyond expectation, and he enthusiastically claims that “this is the most exciting project I have ever worked on.”

It must be a huge investment. Dear reader, tell us your expectations about the project.
